"Devernois is above all a family story and a passion for textiles: The brand was created in 1927 thanks to my grandfather: Claudius Devernois.
Full of dreams and endowed with a strong personality, Claudius created his first brand SIONREVED (anagram of DEVERNOIS) specialized in men's jacquard. He had fun, at the time, posing himself in catalogs to showcase his own creations!
My mother, Zélia Devernois, daughter of Claudius, very determined, draws in secret from her father, her first models in Milano. Obstinate, creative and innovative, she gradually imposed herself in a male environment and developed the first women's collections which were very successful.
My mother undeniably transmitted to me a certain idea of elegance, the love of beautiful materials and this attraction for beautiful materials."
Birth of the House in Roanne, in the Loire, at the time specialized in the manufacture of jacquard knits for men.
Progressive development of women's ready-to-wear and creation of the Devernois brand, which replaces the initial brand name SIONREVED (anagram of Devernois).
Rise of the House, development of franchises, opening of branches and export development.
The golden age of Maison Devernois, and the creation of a powerful slogan that made an impression:
“IN DEVERNOIS, I AM ME”.
Takeover of the House by the 3rd generation: Séverine Brun, granddaughter of the founder, accompanied by Thierry Brun, her husband.

We form a team of women and men who are passionate about their profession and invested in imagining and giving life to collections where quality and elegance are the key words that have always guided the creative juices of our beautiful Maison.
Each model begins with a knit idea, an idea guided by a memory, an inspiration with the aim of creating the right product for our customers. The threads are carefully selected, each mixture of materials tested, the color palette constantly renewed, the details, the finishes sometimes completely reinvented, the patterns studied meticulously."
